H14の1次試験において、
理工 I 区分では、教養科目ー専門科目間で決定係数が約0.26
法律区分では、教養科目ー専門科目間で決定係数が約0.39
です。残念ながら他年度や他区分の値はわかりませんでした。
以下では大胆に、
教養、専門の粗点について、変動説明率(=寄与率、決定計数)を
技術系では全て26%、事務系では全て39%とします。
※変動説明率とは、簡単に言えば、XとYについて、
X の値から Y の値をどの程度予測できるか,言いかえると,X の変動がY の変動をどの程度説明できるのかというものです。
相関係数なら聞いたことがあるという人もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが、
相関係数を r とするれば、この変動説明率は r の2乗になります。
大学等で統計関係を少しでもかじった人には分かると思いますが、分からない人は各自調べて下さい。(orパスして結論へ)

で、変動説明率26%というのは相関係数で約0.5に相当し、
それなりの相関があるといえます。
あまり関係ないかもしれませんが、
一般的に、大学の入試科目の各科目間の成績については、相関係数 0.5~0.8 程度
というのを聞いたことがあります。
